BHC is currently developing the Town of South Cle Elum’s first Climate Element as part of their 2026 Comprehensive Plan Update, which BHC is also responsible for updating. The BHC team has prepared a gaps analysis on existing policies to highlight priority areas for the town to address in the Climate Element as well as a climate impact assessment with relevant maps and graphics to help illustrate climate impacts the town is experiencing and will continue to experience. BHC is currently preparing the draft Climate Element with goals and policies reflective of relevant climate concerns, gaps in the town’s climate resilience policies, and is incorporating input from town staff, residents, and other relevant stakeholders.
