BHC assisted the City of Quincy with a periodic update to its Comprehensive Plan, ensuring the City’s long-range vision reflected demographic shifts, economic growth, and changes in legislation. We worked closely with the Planning Commission, providing guidance and ensuring goals and policies were updated aligned with the City’s evolving priorities. BHC prepared a Public Participation Plan to guide community outreach, which was a central part of this process. We conducted bi-lingual community surveys to collect feedback on long range planning policies, convened focus groups, and collaborated with the City to host multiple open houses. These efforts resulted in nearly 300 survey responses – the highest level of community participation the City had ever received for a long-range planning effort – providing a strong foundation of public input to shape the updated plan.
