BHC completed Orting’s first GMA-compliant comprehensive plan in 1992, and over the next 25 years, we prepared amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, development regulations, Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan, Critical Areas Ordinance, Shoreline Master Plan, and Flood Hazard Mitigation plans to address the needs of a growing city. We also drafted and implemented Public Participation Programs, which compromised of community surveys, Planning Commission workshops, open houses, and public hearings to support this work.
