The City’s previous sanitary sewer model consisted of separate model files for each sewer basin, making updates and analysis cumbersome. BHC worked with the City to update the model to reflect recently installed sewer infrastructure and to combine the model into a single file simulation. Water meter billing records were used to estimate sewer flow contributions for each contributing parcel. The more efficient and accurate model was used to analyze system deficiencies; identify requirements for new developments; and develop capital improvement plan.
