As part of BHC’s ongoing on-call planning services for the City of Duvall, our planners have assisted with a variety of revisions to the development code. Our team assisted the City in finalizing edits to co-living and parking code requirements for compliance with Department of Commerce guidelines. BHC undertook a complete re-write of the City’s land use permitting procedures and processes code chapter to streamline development permitting timelines, complying with Senate Bill 5290 requirements on local project review. BHC has also undertaken comprehensive updates to the city’s sign code, providing content neutral options in compliance with precedent set by Reed et al. v. Town of Gilbert.
