BHC provided all building department services for the Cowlitz Tribe on their new ilani Casino project, a 360,000 plus square foot, type IIA structure. Our team performed all plan reviews including structural, fire and life safety, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection reviews. In addition, we provided roadway, site drainage, and grading reviews on the tribal land portion of the project. BHC provided a full complement of onsite inspections which included building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical inspection. All plan reviews and revision submittals were coordinated with the design-build team, their subs, and the Tribe’s project management team out of Pennsylvania. BHC on-site inspection staff met weekly to discuss plan change issues, code interpretations, and consideration/decisions for alternate methods and materials.
