BHC was hired to provide on-call planning services to the City of Clyde Hill. The primary focus of this work has included updates to the City’s codes to comply with state requirements for Accessory Dwelling Units and Middle Housing. BHC completed these code updates in under a year, ensuring consistency with legislation and alignment with the City’s Comprehensive Plan. BHC has continued to assist the City with various code updates and implementation of updated housing allowances, supporting staff and decision-makers in applying the updated standards for development proposals and long-range planning efforts. Our role has also included attending Planning Commission and City Council meetings, preparing presentations and materials for elected officials and city staff, and meeting with community members and stakeholders to share information and discuss feedback on proposed changes.
