Job Summary
    The HR Generalist is responsible for performing duties that support a broad range of HR business functions such as benefits administration, managing employment life cycle, leave administration, carrying out company policies and practices, and employment law compliance. In addition, the HR Generalist will work closely with our Business Operations Manager to support initiatives within the company. In general, the HR generalist performs a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative HR services.
    • Employee lifecycle administration (recruiting, onboarding, development, retaining, offboarding)
    • Benefits administration
    • Support employees with any questions and needs regarding company policies, benefits, compensation, etc.
    • Assist with payroll processing
    • Assist in the development of personnel policies and procedures and maintain employee handbook.
    • Prepare new employee job descriptions and maintain existing job descriptions
    • Assist with all HR communications efforts
    • Maintain employee personnel records
    • Administer all leave of absence requests, determine eligibility, disability paperwork, and maintain tracking system
    • Administer employee recognition program
    • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations
    • Administer Culture Amp software
    • Prepare annual total rewards statements
    • Social event coordinator
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies in human resources, federal and state HR law, and compliance requirements
    • Perform other projects and duties as assigned
    Job Requirements & Skills
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a combination of education and practical relevant experience
    • Previous Experience: 3+ years of recent and relevant experiencing providing a variety of generalist and support services within a human resources environment
    • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
    • Knowledge of employment laws, EEOC, ADA, FSLA, FMLA, PFML
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
    • PHR or SHRM certification preferred but not required
    Organization Reporting Structure
      Reports to the Business Operations Manager
    Supervisory Responsibility
      This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
    Work Environment
      When working in office, this job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Collaboration with staff in all offices should be expected. Hybrid or remote work schedules are supported for this position.
