https://10rate.com/5rpco54 In partnership with Trane, an energy services company, BHC designed and helped implement improvements to the City of Monroe Wastewater Treatment Plant to reduce energy consumption, improve process control and performance, and replace equipment that had reached the end of its useful life. The improvements were broken into three phases to fit within the City’s budgeting. The first phase included replacement of aeration basin diffusers and blowers and new digester diffusers. The second phase included addition of a sludge thickening system, rehabilitation of a secondary clarifier and both primary clarifiers, and replacement of some digester blowers. The third phase included the replacement of the remaining digester blowers, replacement of an odor control system, optimization of an existing odor control system, replacement of the dewatering polymer system, and installation of new aluminum covers over digester tanks and primary clarifiers.
