About
BHC designed a complete upgrade to the wastewater treatment plant electrical power distribution and control systems. A new utility service, switchboards with zone selective interlocking, generator and transfer switches, motor control centers, low voltage transformers and panelboards were all replaced in the aging plant. New PLC-based control panels replaced the existing obsolete control equipment. BHC prepared detailed phasing plans for the replacement of the equipment while the plant was operating. A new anaerobic digester, mixing system, solids handling building, and lab/office building were also added.
Features:
- Increased plant reliability with electrical design without single points of failure
- Detailed electrical construction phasing
- Enhanced safety design to reduce arc flash hazards
