Administration and Maintenance Facility

BHC design includes the 15,400-square foot administration and community meeting room building, two 6,500-square foot maintenance and storage buildings, generator and trash canopy structure, and a material storage bin structure. The administration building has a daylight basement. Main floor concrete framing design increases circulation in the lower basement while reducing shear wall requirements. The upper floor is a wood framed structure with exterior CMU veneer. Interior details include exposed composite trusses constructed of timber chords and posts with steel rod braces, exposed wood decking, and long spanning glulam beams and Trus Joist I-Joists. The maintenance and storage buildings are pre-engineered buildings with a concrete slab and foundation system.

BHC designed a complete upgrade to the wastewater treatment plant electrical power distribution and control systems.  A new utility service, switchboards with zone selective interlocking, generator and transfer switches, motor control centers, low voltage transformers and panelboards were all replaced in the aging plant.  New PLC-based control panels replaced the existing obsolete control equipment.  BHC prepared detailed phasing plans for the replacement of the equipment while the plant was operating.  A new anaerobic digester, mixing system, solids handling building, and lab/office building were also added.
