About

BHC provided complete plan review services to the Yakama Nation for their 38,000 square foot correctional facility. Services provided included coordination and review of design drawings from several firms, as well as shop drawings. Coordination with Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) reviewers and tribe’s representative was required to work through conflicting code requirements between the International Building Code and the NFPA 5000 which was used by the BIA. On site meetings were conducted during time of plan review, as well as several requested final walkthroughs to accompany the architect, BIA inspector, and the Tribe’s representative.
