BHC performed process, mechanical, electrical, lighting, and structural design for design of two new screw dewatering presses in lieu of the two existing belt filter presses, new shaft-less screw conveyors for conveying dewatered cake to a and modified dry cake storage hopper (DCSH). The project also included upgrades to the WAS/RAW blending process. Installation of the screw presses and conveyors was accomplished while maintaining uninterrupted biosolids dewatering operations throughout the course of the project.
